Serangan
Serangan boasts an amazing, long right hander with a fast and steep takeoff. A consistent wave in terms of where and how it breaks & peels, making it great for practicing different techniques and manoeuvres, however, it is easily wind affected.

Best Surf Conditions
Serangan should be surfed on a mid-low tide, as it gets a strong current on a mid-high tide that will leave you paddling nonstop. It is also very fickle spot, sensitive to the slightest wind, which will muck up the current and the waves very easily. Best to surf Serangan on a low wind day, or early in the morning.

Do You Need Reef Boots?
Booties are not required for any of the South Lombok Breaks. However, if you had them this is one of the places you might wear them, as you do walk across the reef to get to the breaking waves, and depending on how far you ride the wave you could end up over reef where you might touch the bottom.
How to Get To Serangan Surf Spot
One of the few breaks where a boat isn’t needed. Take a scooter ride to Pantai Serangan, where you pay a small amount to park. You can also access the beach from various other roads. From there you walk to the left across the reef to get to the break.
It can be tricky to know where to go if you haven’t been here before, so you could ask around for some info or hire a guide if it’s your first time.
