This spot claims to be a great spot for beginners, although there’s not often more than a small shore break. Nevertheless, they do offer beginner lessons and it’s probably the right place to start if you have never surfed before, as the waves are small, and break over a sandy bottom rather than reef.

How to Get To Selong Belanak Surf Spot
Take an easy scooter ride about 30 mins east of Kuta to Selong Belanak Beach. This is a popular beach and the route is well signed and paved the entire way. Once you arrive, you will pay approx 10,000 IDR to park.
There are plenty of warungs, beach chairs for hire, and surf guides offering beginner lessons at the beach.
